INET Plenary Rescheduled

In light of the growing concerns over the coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the INET Plenary to October 13-15, 2020 (originally slated for April 13-15, 2020)

Our new plans will coincide with Fall IMF/WB Annual Meetings 2020 just as the April meeting was designed to be adjacent to the Spring meetings. The venue, George Washington University, will be the same.

We will be postponing the scheduled conference calls with panelists next week and reschedule them in September in order to prepare together in closer proximity to the plenary in October.

Leading up to October, we will diligently monitor updates provided by the World Health Organization (WHO) and The Center for Disease Control

(CDC). Your health and well-being is our priority. We are also be following the U.S. State Department’s updates on global travel restrictions to the United States to keep you updated. Further, we will scan reports on what is happening to people arriving at U.S. Ports of Entry from countries affected by the virus.

I am sorry to have to make this change at such a late date. I appreciate all of the preparation that the speakers have been devoting to preparation for the event. Even so, I do strongly feel that the circumstances compel us to take this action so that we can all share ideas and strengthen our community together at a time when this serious and unusual concerns about health do not overwhelm the proceedings and put anyone in our community at risk of incurring a severe impairment of their health. Thank you for your understanding.

Sincerely yours,

Robert A. Johnson
