Paulo L. dos Santos is a political economist working as Assistant Professor of Economics at the New School for Social Research. His research interests include contemporary financial practices, the role of finance in economic development, monetary theory, and Classical approaches to economic analysis. His recent work centers on the use of concepts and tools from information theory in formal observational inquiry into the functioning and social content of complex economic systems.
