Imre Kondor is professor of physics at the Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest, honorary professor of finance at Corvinus University in Budapest, external faculty of Ecole Centrale in Paris, and core team member of the Parmenides Center for the Study of Thinking in Munich. He has worked as a visiting scientist at the University of Frankfurt, Manchester University, and the Centre d’Etudes Saclay of the CEA in France. In 1992, he established the Bolyai College, a school of excellence within Eotvos University, of which he was the director until 1998. From 1998 to 2002, he was the head of the Market Risk Research department of Raiffeisen Bank in Budapest, from 2002 to 2010 he was a permanent fellow, and from 2002 to 2008 he was director of Collegium Budapest – Institute for Advanced Study.
