As the COVID crisis threatens to overwhelm both federal and state government services, getting the digital component of government services to function effectively is mission critical.

Join us for a discussion on the US government response to the Covid-19 disaster and its corresponding digital challenges and opportunities with Tim O’Reilly, technologist, entrepreneur, and founder and CEO of O’Reilly Media, Inc. and Jennifer Pahlka, founder of Code for America, former deputy chief technology officer of the United States, and now co-founder of United States Digital Response, a new nonprofit connecting technology volunteers with governments that need their help.

The conversation, facilitated by Pia Malaney, INET Senior Economist and Director of the Center for Innovation, Growth, and Society, will focus on the new challenges governments face, the resources that are available to meet them, and share case studies of how governments are fulfilling their mission in the present crisis.
