INET in Berlin: The Annual Plenary Conference to Take Place on April 12-14, 2012

The Institute for New Economic Thinking will host its third annual plenary conference in Berlin fromApril 12 to 14, 2012.

The conference, entitled “Paradigm Lost: Rethinking Economics and Politics,” will take place in the Axica Conference Center adjacent to the world famous Brandenburg Gate.

About 300 scholars, students, policy makers, and journalists will convene in the eye of the European economic hurricane to reconsider conventional economic thinking. The challenges posed by inequality, unemployment, climate change, and global financial disarray call for new economic thinking that is open, credible, andrelevant in the current world; that offers visionamid uncertainty, and fosters cooperationwhere there is fragmentation.

The event is by invitation only, but whether or not you can attend, you will be able to watch the entire conference on our website. INET will film everything and upload it to the web along with slides and conference papers.

The conference is organized in conjunction with our partners, the Centre for International Governance Innovation (CIGI) and the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change (MCC).
