Kijong Kim

Involvement

Kijong Kim is a research scholar in the Gender Equality and the Economy program at Levy Economics Institute. His current research interests lie in distributional impact analyses of public employment guarantee programs and other fiscal policies; social care investment; and gender-oriented macro modeling. The recent research includes input-output analysis and microsimulation for employment impact of expanded public works program in South Africa and American Recovery and Reinvestment Act in the U.S. Kim has taught microeconomics, macroeconomics, and environmental economics at the International School of Economics at Tbilisi State University, a newly established graduate program in Tbilisi, Georgia, and the Bard Center for Environmental Policy.

Kijong received his B.S. in Economics from Korea University and Ph.D. in Applied Economics from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul.
